A simple dry atmosphere (Held & Suarez 1994 forcing on a spectral primitive-equation core, T42 L26) is being spun up on this site's laptop. Two experiments are planned: an Earth-like control and a superrotating atmosphere forced by equatorial heating. Daily zonal-mean plots with EP flux, in the same style as the forecast pages, will appear here once the runs are reviewed.
